How many hours of wedding videography do you need?
Start with the first and last moments you want filmed. Then allow for everything between them.
For a wedding in Singapore, the right amount of videography coverage depends on your running order, locations and priorities. A short ceremony and lunch at one venue can have a very different filming window from preparations at home followed by a dinner banquet.
48kgProduction offers 6, 8 and 10 hours of Actual Day videography. Each includes Same Day Edit and Full Day Edit. Here is how to compare the hours without choosing only by price.
1. Map the first and last moments
Write down the earliest moment you want captured and the latest one you would miss if filming ended. Include travel, gaps and venue changes between them.
- Before the ceremony: preparations, family time and any gatecrash.
- Ceremonies: tea ceremony, solemnisation and other traditions you want recorded.
- Celebration: march-ins, speeches, cake cutting and time with guests.
Share the full schedule, including pauses, when asking for a quote. Confirm how coverage hours apply to your particular day; do not assume a long break can be excluded from the booked window.
2. Compare 6, 8 and 10 hours
| Coverage | Price, nett | Consider it when… |
|---|---|---|
| 6 hours | S$2,180 | Your chosen moments fit within a compact window, with limited travel. |
| 8 hours | S$2,380 | You need more time around ceremonies, family moments or venue changes. |
| 10 hours | S$2,580 | The moments you want filmed span a longer part of the day. |
These are planning prompts, not a promise that a particular schedule fits. All three packages include Same Day Edit, Full Day Edit and no morning surcharge. Check the package details and confirm any additional requirements before booking.
3. Test the hours against a real clock
Illustrative example: filming from 7am preparations until a 1pm milestone spans six hours before allowing for overruns. If the last moment you want is at 2pm, that same plan already spans seven hours. Count the elapsed time rather than just adding up the ceremony lengths.
A morning start and an evening dinner may span more than ten hours. Send both timings and identify the moments you care about most, so the filming plan and any additional coverage can be discussed. These examples are not fixed package schedules.
4. Include the edit and screening in the plan
Same Day Edit needs its own timing discussion. The footage available for a luncheon screening is different from the footage available later at dinner. Confirm what can be filmed and included before deciding when to screen it.
Our Same Day Edit planning guide explains the screening questions to work through. The SDE is 3–5 minutes. Your 15–20 minute Full Day Edit follows within two months of the wedding. Confirm any specific audio and delivery-format requests before booking.
5. Choose a shorter service when it fits
If you only need a short solemnisation filmed, our ROM package includes two hours and a cinematic music-video-style edit for S$1,080 nett. It has a different scope from Actual Day coverage with Same Day Edit.
A pre-wedding film is a separate shoot before the wedding: three hours and one cinematic music-video-style edit for S$1,280 nett. It does not replace coverage of the wedding itself.
