Planning your wedding Same Day Edit in Singapore
Your morning moments, shared with your guests. A clear filming and screening plan makes the difference.
A Same Day Edit, or SDE, is a short wedding film made from footage captured earlier on your wedding day and prepared for screening during your luncheon or banquet. At 48kgProduction, the SDE is 3–5 minutes long.
At 48kgProduction, Same Day Edit is included in all 6-, 8- and 10-hour Actual Day packages, alongside Full Day Edit. The running order determines which scenes can be included.
Same Day Edit and Full Day Edit: what is the difference?
| Question | Same Day Edit | Full Day Edit |
|---|---|---|
| When do you watch it? | During the wedding celebration, at an agreed screening time. | Within two months of your wedding. |
| What footage can it use? | Selected moments filmed early enough to be edited before screening. | Footage from the coverage booked across the day. |
| What is its purpose? | Share earlier moments with the people celebrating with you. | Bring the covered wedding-day story together as a keepsake. |
| How long is the film? | 3–5 minutes. | 15–20 minutes. |
Your Full Day Edit is a 15–20 minute cinematic wedding film, delivered within two months of your wedding. It brings together footage from your booked coverage; it is not an uncut recording of every event. Confirm any specific audio or delivery-format requests before booking.
What can appear in a Same Day Edit?
Depending on your booked coverage and timing, discuss morning preparations, family interactions, gatecrash, tea ceremonies and solemnisation. First march-in and solemnisation scenes can be included when the schedule allows filming before the luncheon or banquet.
The useful question is whether each moment happens early enough for the agreed screening. A scene that occurs after the film has been prepared cannot automatically be added to that screening version. Tell us which moments matter most while the running order is still flexible.
Luncheon versus dinner: plan backwards from screening
A luncheon usually leaves a shorter interval between morning filming and screening than a dinner. Avoid copying another couple’s schedule without checking your own ceremony times, travel and handover arrangements.
- Choose the screening slot. Agree a time in the banquet programme with your venue or coordinator.
- List the scenes you hope to include. Add when and where they will take place.
- Confirm the filming and editing window. Ask which scenes are practical before the screening deadline.
- Keep space for playback preparation. Allow the venue team time to receive and test the file.
For example, if your solemnisation finishes close to a luncheon screening, discuss whether those scenes can be included or whether the screening plan should change. There is no single editing-time promise that fits every wedding.
What to check with your venue
A film needs a reliable playback plan as well as an edit. Confirm the following with the person operating the screen and sound:
- Who receives the final file and who starts playback.
- The file format, connection and screen requirements.
- How sound will play through the venue system.
- When a picture-and-sound test can take place.
- A backup copy and a clear contact if the programme changes.
Do not rely on a streaming link alone without checking the venue’s internet and playback setup. Agree the handover method in advance.
Choosing your coverage
The Same Day Edit is included across our Actual Day packages: 6 hours at S$2,180 nett, 8 hours at S$2,380 nett and 10 hours at S$2,580 nett. Choose the filming window around the moments you want recorded, including those after the SDE screening.
Use our coverage-hours guide to compare the options, then send your draft schedule. If you are booking ROM videography or a pre-wedding film instead, discuss screening requirements separately; those packages describe music-video-style edits, not included Same Day Edit.
